Plants grow at different rates depending on the type of system they are grown in. When one uses hydroponics as their system of choice, they can expect accelerated rates of growth and healthier plants. I started my gardening career using a soil-less medium. This was because I felt that it was easier and less hassle. I couln’t be more wrong. Although using a soil-less medium is great for beginners, it offers no learning curve which would make it easier to transition into other more advanced systems.

This is why I always recommend starting with a more advanced system from the beginning. This way, you get started with the best system possible. Their might be a small learning curve but once this is overcome, the sky is the limit. Grow big or go home is what I say. Therefore, if someone tells you that using a hydroponic setup is too complicated for you, you need to look somewhere else for advice.
